Aston Martin DBX S: Posh Party Girl

Aston Martin DBX S

Six years after launching its first SUV, Aston Martin has just released a new flagship–the DBX S. Now, I know that for many enthusiasts, it’s hard to embrace high-performance SUVs. Enzo Ferrari would be disgusted. Henry Ford would be outraged. But, as another mastermind so eloquently expressed, “It ain’t no fun (if the homies can’t have none).” Amen and hallelujah, Snoop! This fact is clearly on the minds of the good people at Aston Martin, who took a beast of an SUV and added a little somethin’ somethin’ to make it even more special. Let’s dig in!

The DBX S Is Lighter

Nothing makes a girl feel sexier than a fresh haircut and shedding a few pounds. In the case of Aston’s party girl, her weight loss is nothing short of GLP-1 worthy, with a total of 47 kilos or 103-ish pounds reduced from the DBX 707. Sure, this comes in the form of very fancy add-ons such as the 23″ magnesium forged wheels, which are responsible for 42 pounds alone, but my God, they are gorgeous! Did I mention they’re $22,000? Whatever! You can’t put a price on feeling good and looking gorgeous in the process. Isn’t that why one drives an Aston?

The DBX S Is Spunkier

The DBX didn’t necessarily NEED new turbochargers, nor did it NEED to reduce the turning radius or updated damper calibration. But some would say that no one NEEDS a performance car at all. This mentality could only be fabricated by someone who has never driven a performance car or lacks a soul, but I digress..

There’s no mistaking that the S drives very differently from the base DBX. Do you NEED it? Maybe not, but the process of elimination sure would be fun.

She’s Got Some Beautiful Bling

The concept of an S variant is nothing new to Aston Martin, with the first S in 1953 with the DB35 S. To highlight this trim, Aston slapped the S badge loud and proud next to the side intake. Cast in brass with chrome trim and hand-painted red enamel, her S-identity is subtly yet unmistakably distinctive.

Then There’s That A**!

As gorgeous as the DBX has always been, she certainly had a “good side.” With the S, Aston tilted the quad exhaust, stacking the pipes and creating a much more flattering rear end. This is important because when this little mama gets cooking, heads are gonna turn.

Of Course, I Made A Video:

Even though it rained, my shirt was wrinkled, my pants filthy, and I looked like a drowned rat, I made video because I love you:

Tell me what you think of this beauty!

Would you party with the DBX S? Or is your taste in fancy SUVs different, and why? Mama wants to know. Hit me up on social with your thoughts.
