Nissan: the Rodney Dangerfield of car companies

I’m a car snob. There– you happy? I am.  But I still have to give it up to Nissan. Not only are they guys that went from this:

the stunningly terrible Sentra. To this:

and even they just won Car Of The Year with the Leaf (which is too ugly to show). Kan Pai!

Like Rodney Dangerfield, The Struggle Is Real

So why don’t they get any respect? For God’s sake, the GTR is faster than all of the production Europeans (except for the $2.4 m Bugatti Veyron Supersport) for 0-60.  It clocks in at 2.8 seconds, for a base price under $90k that’s almost wrong!

Again, why am I the only person stalking this guy in Hollywood:

Rodney Dangerfield

A Few Horrible Possibilities

Are we so stuck on the Stanza? Still pouting over Pearl Harbor? Or did a guy named Biff date the cheerleader you wanted and drive something that looked like this:

Rodney Dangerfield

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still a car snob too. I’m not buying one anytime soon either; I just want to understand why.
